We've Launched Alabama's First Statewide Business focused Twitter Chat - #BizChatAL ! During our eleventh chat we talked with @JordanDoufexis app developer at @nativerewards. - about how their retail and restaurant delivery app is innovating the Northeast Alabama business landscape.

We knew in order for local businesses to compete in the new economy that they had to have tools/tech at prices they could afford, but would also rival the sophistication of the Amazon war machine. Northeast Alabama is home, so we wanted to begin testing our concepts here bc we knew the culture and tendencies. After testing a number of different versions of the app it became clear that convenience-time-price needed to be our only focus, and in that order. #BizChatAL

These local businesses have to do everything: Management, customer service, accounting, marketing, etc. Our goal is to remove that CS and Marketing portion from their plate as much as possible by providing a horizontal network where all the shoppers in an area come to one place to find what they’re looking for at the best possible price. Then we deliver for them. #BizChatAL

We bring the shoppers to the business and provide that business with a platform to sell their product and have it delivered to the customer. With our app, #GoNative, a local business is now open 24/7 and offers guaranteed next day delivery. #BizChatAL

We have to develop a core of businesses that are actively participating in the app. Not just restaurants allowing us to deliver lunch to offices, but actual retail products being delivered same and next day to shoppers in the community. Alabama is also an agriculture first state. We have to begin to provide famers with the market place to sell and have their locally grown products delivered to consumers and restaurants right here. That can all be done right now through the app. We are also implementing a directory of local professional services into the app where you can discover who to hire in your area for any number of tasks and see the reviews from people you know in the community that have used those services. #BizChatAL

We’re in the infancy of our app. We’re working everyday to make sure the app evolves and not only answers the questions of the marketplace, but begins to mold what the marketplace becomes. Point of Sale systems, faster & more efficient delivery, minimizing costs for everyone (Merchants and Shoppers). These are just a few things that will never be a finished product. They’ll continually evolve and improve or we’ll die as a company. #BizChatAL
