Next up, Dr. Darlene Guttridge of Parks Avenue Dental

How many years have you been in business?

I graduated from dental school in 2010 and worked as an associate prior to purchasing Parks Avenue Dental from Dr. Goss in May of 2014. We are approaching 5 years.

What motivates you?

My motivation is helping and caring for my patients. I really love creating lasting relationships with my patients and my staff.

Why are you a Chamber member?

I’m a chamber member to be a part of the community and keep up with what all is going on in our town.

What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know?

An interesting fact about Parks Avenue Dental is that we treat all ages of patients, and do a number of different procedures. It’s great being able to watch our patients grow and treat them in one place.

Do you have any advice for new business owners?

My advice for new business owners would be to become a part of the community you work in. It’s great to get to know the other businesses and connect with people in our town.

When you’re not working, where do you like to spend your time?

My family and I enjoy Lake Guntersville when we have free time. Jackson County is beautiful with the mountains and lakes. We like to go boating, kayaking and just playing in the water.
