At this very moment, employers want workers who are #JobReady on Day 1! With work-based learning that ties in college instruction with REAL work experience, our students get an edge in the competitive workforce. We just received a $12M federal grant to expand #apprenticeships. These efforts mean that more Alabamians will have an opportunity to study and earn credentials AT THE SAME TIME that they gain on-the-job training for a career. It takes away that moment of a resume stacked with education, and no real experience to go with it. #BizChatAL

The GENERAL difference is that 2-yrs award AA/AS degrees, while 4-yrs award a bachelor's. In AL, one BIG difference between CORE classes at a #CommunityCollege (2yr) vs. 4-yr (university) is cost. You literally pay FAR LESS than ½ the cost to take your basic classes with us. In addition, the focus that we are able to give to individual students because of our smaller class sizes allows a special focus on every single student.
